Haake - safety for people, machines and processes
Since 1987, the family-run company Haake Technik GmbH has been providing
the greatest safety at workplaces worldwide. The safety engineering
products from our own production in Germany have been convincing
well-known partners, companies, businesses and public institutions with
innovative solutions for many years. By using high-quality materials we
contribute to the prevention of accidents and to the protection and
preservation of our environment.

Trapped-Key Interlocking Systems HST
A trapped-key interlocking system, also known as key transfer system,
consists of at least two components and is intended to prevent the
execution of dangerous machine functions under predefined conditions.
The core of the system is an individually coded key, which is
automatically transferred between the components of a key transfer
system. This key transfer typically takes place between the switch-off
system of a machine and a so-called guard locking device which is used,
for example, to open or lock the maintenance cover of that machine.
Safety edges HSC
Safety edges are contact-sensitive detectors that recognise whenever a person or part of a person's body comes into contact with the detector. Should a safety edge register a contact or an obstacle, the automatic drive of the machine is immediately stopped.
We encounter safety edges frequently in our everyday lives, but it's a rare occasion that we actually notice them. For instance, when we pass through the revolving door in an airport, a safety edge ensures that our arm or leg is not caught or crushed between the frame and the wing of the revolving door.
Safety Bumpers HSB
Safety bumpers are contact-sensitive devices that detect contact with a
person or part of a person's body. Should a bumper register a contact or
an obstacle, the automatic drive of the machine is immediately stopped.
While
safety edges are fitted with one sensor, bumpers can be equipped with
several signal transmitters and also feature an actuating surface that
is usually over 80 mm.
Safety bumpers are therefore particularly
effective in protecting the shearing and crushing points of large and
heavy powered equipment.
Valve locking systems HSV
Fittings and valves play a key role across a number of industrial production lines and energy networks. In these areas they perform important functions for safety and process control. For this reason, their correct setting and operation is decisive for the functional safety of entire systems.
In this regard, chains, padlocks and organisational measures such as Lockout-Tagout procedures (LOTO) do not offer sufficient protection against incorrect operation. The key to system and process safety: the use of valve interlocking systems.
